Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family and is number 7 on the Mohs Hardness scale. It is common to find other minerals with Amethyst in different combinations. Red-Capped Amethyst, Cacoxenite Amethyst, and Auralite have many of the same properties of traditional Amethyst (plus some). It is said that some of the metaphysical properties of Amethyst may include:
- Soothing and relaxing stone that may aid in spiritual transformation and divine connection
- Enhanced intuition and development of psychic abilities such as clairvoyance, vision, higher realms, etc.
- Enhanced dreams and dream recall
- Protection by clearing one’s energy field
- Clearer thinking process and enhanced focus and memory
- Great for sleeping and lessening of stress and anxiety
- Associated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras
- Great for meditations, connecting with higher realms
Red-Capped Amethyst is Amethyst with Hematite, often on the tip or point. These beauties are often on the darker side as compared to the typical purple Amethyst. Clear Quartz, Smokey Quartz and other minerals may also be present. Hold them up to a light source and you may be able to see other minerals, especially the Smokey Quartz.
I find these crystals to be wonderful tools to assist with astral projection, vivid dreams, and dream recall. Energetically, they remind me very much so of Auralite 23, but they have a comforting grounding aspect that I love. This why I refer to these as a crystal to help you fly with both feet on the ground. These crystals have a high vibration but at the same time keep you connected to the Earth. |
