PINK MANGANO CALCITE

Calcite is a mineral of the trigonal crystal system. It is fragile with a Mohs hardness of 3 and often has a waxy, pearly, or resinous type of lustre. Calcite can also be chalky and dull (not shiny). It comes in a variety of colors such as white, clear, orange, green, yellow, blue, pink, etc. and is very common, found all over the world. Calcite may also be distinctive with a rhombohedral cleavage. One of the methods of testing for Calcite is the acid test. Calcite will have a fizzing action when acids are applied. Drop a couple drops of vinegar on Calcite and look for any fizzing action. HCL is a stronger acid and will show a much greater reaction. Click here to learn how to perform the acid test. It's also important to note that a lot of the Calcite on the market is acid-washed or acid-dipped. Calcite may be placed in an acid solution to smooth out rough edges and enhance color a bit.

Objective
The objective of this body layout is to assist in balancing and opening the Heart Chakra.

Crystals/Material Used
1 Green Calcite, 1 Pink/Mangano Calcite, green or pink candle, essential oil of choice.

Procedure
Select a quiet area where you will be comfortably lying down. You may choose to light green or pink candles, incense, play music, nature sounds, or any other methods that help you to relax. Place a few drops of Geranium essential oil into a carrier oil and gently anoint your Heart Chakra area. You may also diffuse the oil if you prefer. Check with doctor and vet (if you have pets), before using an EO. Place the Green Calcite and Pink Calcite in the center of your chest. Relax. Listen to your breathing, heartbeat, or music. Imagine a glowing ball of green swirling on your Heart Chakra. Lie in this position for about 20 minutes or for as long as you feel is comfortable for you. As with all meditations or wellness sessions, sit up slowly and stand only when ready. Give gratitude for what you have received and enjoy a nice glass of water.
