It streaks white and often has cubic and octagonal crystal structure. Its cleavage is octahedral which is why you see many individual Fluorite octahedrons on the market. Those are usually not naturally shaped but rather cleaved with a chisel. Octahedrons on a Fluorite specimen are more likley to be naturally formed. Some Fluorite will fluoresce under UV light.
