 Chrysocolla is a stunning blue-green mineral that doesn't have a clearly defined chemical composition. It is a copper silicate and sometimes contains aluminum. It is of the orthorhombic crystal system. The blue-green color is from it's high copper content. It's MOHS hardness varies from about 2-4, and it's steak color is white to light blue. It's translucent to opaque and often associated with Azurite and Malachite.
