 Apatite is phosphate mineral in the hexagonal crystal system. It comes in a variety of colors such as blue, green, yellow, colorless, etc. and has a hardness of 5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Loosely translated, the name Apatite means "the deceiver" for this mineral is often confused with others such as Peridot, Beryl or Phenakite.
