LAKE SUPERIOR AGATE


A Superior Sparkly!


Agate is a mineral of the Quartz group. It is a fibrous banded chalcedony that is typically translucent. Agate comes in a variety of colors and has a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7. There are many types of Agates and their names are often based on their location, patterns, or colors.

Lake Superior Agate is an iron-stained of Agate found in the Lake Superior region. It is Minnesota's state gemstone! Many people stroll the beaches, finding these beautiful red, orange, and yellow agates.

Metaphysically speaking, it is said that Agates tend to have a slow-pace type of energy and generally promote grounding, stability, harmony, and mental clarity. Other metaphysical properties of Lake Superior Agate may include:
