The full moon is a time to release, let go, cleanse and prepare for the new moon. It is a popular custom to put out crystals to bask in the light of the full moon. It is said that the direct moonlight isn't exactly needed for this ritual, so placing your sparklies on the window sill may be sufficient for a cleansing.
Since many are usually more emotional, anxious, even unbalanced during a full moon. Recommended crystals may include:
• Releasing/Cleansing Crystals: Selenite, Halite, Black Obsidian arrowheads, Black or Blue Kyanite blades. It also depends on what you are releasing too. Select crystals on your individual needs and intuition.
• Grounding crystals: Black Tourmaline, Lodestone, Hematite, Smokey Quartz, Red Jasper, Tiger Iron, Hematite Jasper, Shungite, etc.
• Balancing crystals: Zebra Jasper, Dalmatian Jasper, or Yin Yang crystals. Yin Yang crystals have a cloudy half or section that is said to be feminine (Yin, receptive), and a clear half or section that is masculine (Yang, projecting).
• Calming crystals: Lepidolite, Lithium Quartz, Rose Quartz, Selenite, Scolesite, etc.
• Although some say not to use Moonstone during a full moon, I say go with what is right for you. I love peach Moonstone during a full moon because it generally helps me to lessen mood swings, decreases anxiety and is nurturing.
