For example, Hawaiian Week activities may resemble something like this:

• Exercise/Physical Activities - hula dancing, hula hoop exercise, coconut bowling, beachball volleyball, tropical toss game, shuffleboard, ribbon exercise, etc.
• Cognitive/trivia/discussion/educational/games - Polynesian trivia, Hawaiian spelling bee, Hawaii travel club, Hawaiian traditions, Hawaiian words of wisdom, tropical bingo, Tropical Paradise Hawaiian movie, etc.
• Creative - Cooking Club: Pineapple Cake, Hawaiian crafts: Leis, Hawaiian music appreciation, beach glass crafts, paper lantern making, etc. 
• Sensory - beach sensory, Hawaiian sights and sounds sensory, tropical fruit sensory, flower sensory, tropical music and sensory, etc.
• To end off the week you can have everyone wear Hawaiian shirts and enjoy a Hawaiian Luau. Be creative!

Activity Professionals know that themes are a great way to spruce up any activity program. The following themes are a compilation of various holidays, fun themes, anytime themes, and cultural themes. These themed activity programs may be stretched outfor an entire week or condensed into a day. In addition, many of the activity themes can be done throughout the year but I have categorized many of the themes to spread out your creative programs throughout the year.
