Flat Granny is a project of the Greenewood Manor Activity Department in Xenia, Ohio, and was created by Amy Shade, BS, ADC. It is based on the popular "Flat Stanley" project done by many elementary students. Flat Granny is a cardboard cutout that travels around to various senior centers, nursing homes, conferences and so on and loves getting her picture taken.
Flat Granny has a blog at http://flatgranny.blogspot.com
NOTE: I don't know if Flat Granny is still going on, but it's a great activity for residents to start. It doesn't have to be Flat Granny per se. You can alter this idea and be creative!
