When I get old, I do NOT want the same person who wipes my behind being the same person who gives me meds, and the same person who cooks and serves the food as the same person who scrubs the toilet. As it is direct care workers dont wash their hands well enough.. I can only imagine what kind of disgusting diseases people will unable to get rid of that will be floating around.

I have a situation one of my client that has AD. at time whre she gets confused and disoriented. The nurse is called on loud speaker to come for client. at that time almost all personel around her trying to calm her down . I just started working here. I feel that the nurse should be the only person to deal with the situation by removed her for that floor immediatly. It becomes a caos for the other clients. I need your opinion

I've been at my ltc facility for over 10 years. It is the most gratifting job there is. Being able to bring love, joy and compassion to our residents. This is not the end of life, but for many it is a new beginning. Many were ready to die but came to our facility and bloomed, and it was very good for them. One family member said, this is the first time he had ever seen his mother laugh. I am very proud of the good that we do.
